Single Wide Stave Oak Worktops
The Oak ‘Single Wide Stave’ is one of our most beautiful worktops. Made from furniture grade North American White Oak and constructed to perfection, they add the most incredible finishing touch to a kitchen. Each worktop has a varied stave width, but there are no joins within the planks. This means that every piece of wood used in this worktop has to be flawless - and the results are absolutely stunning.
A typical Oak Worktop like this usually has six or seven staves of random width, varying between two and five inches.
We can cut sink holes, drainage grooves, prepare butt joins - in fact we can get everything ready so all your fitters have to do is give it a final sand, oil it and then install it. If you or they are short of time, we can even do all the final sanding and oiling as well.
It is very hard for us to make Oak worktops like this longer than 3 metres - it can be done but they are very rare as it is so difficult finding long clear lumber, even in FAS grade.
Sadly the Wide Single Stave Oak is one of the real cases where the photographs simply do not do the worktop justice, sorry.
